Elizabeth Asencio

Senior Vice President and Head of Distribution Marketing, TelevisaUnivision

Elizabeth Asencio is Senior Vice President, Head of Distribution Marketing at TelevisaUnivision, the world’s leading Spanish-language media content company. In this role, Asencio leads the strategy of distribution partner and business development marketing initiatives, which drives revenue growth across the company’s portfolio of services.

Asencio has more than twenty years of experience in leading high-performing marketing, sales and operations teams with proven success in developing multicultural marketing strategies and securing multi-billion dollar distribution agreements.

Prior to joining TelevisaUnivision in 2019, Asencio served as Head of Content Acquisition for Breezeline, a subsidiary of Cogeco Communications Inc., where she led the programming and video operations team. In this role, she negotiated multi-platform content distribution deals. She also led new business development for lotus823, an integrated marketing and communications agency. Asencio also spent 18 years at NBCUniversal, where she last served as Senior Vice President, Client Relations and Marketing Operations.

Throughout her career, Asencio has been named one of Cablefax’s “Most Powerful Women in Cable” and has been recognized on the “Most Influential Minorities in Cable” list several times.  She is a board member of CTAM and a member of the WICT Network as well as a graduate of both The WICT’s Network Betsy Magness Leadership Institute and General Electric’s Management Development Program.

Asencio received a bachelor’s degree in Communication from Rutgers University.  She lives in New Jersey with her husband and two children.
