Emory Walton III is Senior Vice President of Content Distribution at A+E Global Media, where he leads a cross-divisional team responsible for negotiating major distribution agreements, optimizing revenue, and managing key relationships with content distributors across the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean. He works across internal and external partners to expand A+E’s reach and ensure its content remains widely accessible across linear, digital, and emerging platforms.
As Board Chair of NAMIC (National Association of Multi-Ethnicity in Communications), Walton leads a board of senior executives dedicated to expanding career and leadership opportunities across media and technology. Through this role and his continued work at A+E advancing broader perspectives in programming and brand marketing, he remains committed to fostering access, fairness, and authentic representation throughout the industry.
A strategic leader with a deep understanding of the evolving media ecosystem, Walton has successfully navigated complex negotiations, driven transformative initiatives, and helped shape A+E’s global distribution strategy to align with shifting market dynamics.
Recognized for his industry impact, Walton has been named one of CableFAX’s Most Influential Executives, honored as a NAMIC Luminary, and is a WICT Advocate Leader Award recipient. He is also a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and Beta Gamma Sigma, the international business honor society.
Walton earned his BA in Communication Studies with a specialization in Business from UCLA and his MBA from Loyola Marymount University. He is a graduate of the NAMIC Executive Leadership Program at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business, as well as executive programs at Harvard Business School and UCLA Anderson School of Management.
A longtime advocate for professional development and access, Walton is passionate about mentorship, leadership development, and creating meaningful pathways for the next generation of media professionals.
