Elevating Inclusive Leadership: Unlocking the ROI of Speaking a Unified Language in Inclusion
NAMIC’s Elevating Inclusive Leadership program empowers leaders across media, entertainment, and technology to build and measure truly inclusive workplaces that drive success. By establishing a shared playbook for inclusive practices, this program offers a transformative experience for leaders eager to align their teams around a common, actionable understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
Through this immersive learning laboratory, a multicultural group of participants will explore powerful strategies to deepen connections, enhance team dynamics, and amplify inclusion within their organizations. The program is designed for maximum impact, with each company encouraged to send pairs of participants—one from an underrepresented background and the other as an ally. This intentional pairing fosters a unique environment for building trust, strengthening allyship, and nurturing perspectives that extend far beyond the classroom.
Elevating Inclusive Leadership equips participants with tools to forge resilient, adaptable teams primed to meet the demands of today’s world. Through NAMIC’s and UVA Darden’s DEI expertise, participants will refine inclusive leadership skills, learning how to bridge and leverage differences and actively drive equitable change.
Recognizing that high-performing teams require more than diverse representation, participants will learn how to cultivate inclusivity that strengthens brand position, enhances market reputation, and delivers tangible business ROI. Leaders will leave with a roadmap to improve listening, build trust, and embed inclusive best practices, ensuring their companies not only talk about inclusion but lead with it in every way.
This program is exclusively tailored for mid-career professionals in the media, entertainment, and technology industries who have completed either NAMIC's Leadership Seminar Program or the Executive Leadership Development Program.

Program Description
Companies increasingly rely on diverse, multidisciplinary teams that combine women and men's collective capabilities, people of different cultural heritage, and a multigenerational workforce. However, simply throwing a mix of people together doesn't guarantee high performance; it requires inclusive leadership—leadership that assures that all team members feel valued, treated respectfully and fairly, and belong.Â
