Sandy Nunez is the President and Chief Executive Officer of NAMIC (National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications), a leading organization dedicated to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion across the media, entertainment, and technology industries. In this role, Nunez leads NAMIC’s strategic transformation, driving innovation in programming, partnerships, and leadership development initiatives that empower the next generation of diverse executives and creators.
Prior to assuming the CEO role, Nunez served as Vice President of On-Air Talent Management at NFL Media, where she oversaw a diverse roster of more than 70 on-air personalities and a support staff of 30, leading all aspects of talent strategy, recruitment, development, and logistics—including the successful relocation and relaunch of Good Morning Football from New York to Los Angeles.
Before joining the NFL, Nunez spent 15 years at ESPN, where she was a Coordinating Producer for SportsCenter and led diverse, multi-functional teams responsible for daily studio production and editorial direction. During her tenure, she also served as an active leader in employee resource groups, talent development initiatives, and executive diversity task forces that supported greater inclusion across the company.
Earlier in her career, Nunez worked at ABC News and CNN, producing major domestic and international coverage. Her distinguished career has earned her numerous honors, including an Emmy Award, and recognition as one of the most influential Hispanic figures in sports media.
A passionate advocate for mentorship and inclusion, Nunez serves on multiple industry boards and founded the Nunez Family Scholarship Fund to support students pursuing careers in media and entertainment.
