NAMIC Vision Awards Timeline
- Friday, February 6, 2026 by 11:59 PM EST – Entry Deadline
- March/April 2026 – Nominations Announcement
- Late April 2026 – Winners Announcement
Submissions for the 2026 NAMIC Vision Awards will be accepted beginning October 2025.
2026 ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
The following requirements must be addressed for each program entered.
- Access. You can provide access credentials/information to access the entry online via your streaming service or you can upload your entry/entries in the following video file formats: .m4v, .mp4, .wmv, or .mov.
- Entry fee payment. Submissions that do not include payment will not be considered for judging.
- Fully completed online entry form. Be sure to list the entry exactly as you wish it to appear in promotional materials.
- Program description and running time (150-word limit).
- Network approved credit sheet/cast list.
- Submission contact, company programming contact, and company publicity contact.
- Incomplete or late entries will not be judged. You will be notified if your entry is disqualified for any reason.
Those eligible to submit entries include:
- Broadcast Networks (National, Network-Owned and Operated, Affiliates)
- Cable Networks (National and Regional)
- Cable Operators (for local origination programming)
- Syndicators (First-Run Original Programs)
- VOD content for digital platforms – web or mobile
- Any production company, distributor, or syndicator (content must have aired/streamed on an eligible platform)
- Programs must be original and have aired between November 1, 2024 and November 30, 2025.
Animation
Animated programming of any length and format, including traditional, CGI, stop-motion, or anime-inspired works. Open to all ages and distribution platforms.
Best Performance – Comedy
Recognizes an outstanding comedic performance in a lead, supporting, or featured role across television, streaming, or digital platforms.
Best Performance – Drama
Recognizes a compelling dramatic performance in a lead, supporting, or featured role across television, streaming, or digital platforms.
Character Voiceover
Recognizes excellence in voice acting in animated, interactive, or audio-visual content.
Children’s Programming
Content created for children or youth audiences, including educational, narrative, or lifestyle content.
Comedy Series or Special
Serialized or one-off comedic content across any format or distribution platform.
Digital Media
Original content including narrative, documentary, and social content, across any digital platform [may be submitted in short form (under 30 minutes in length) or long form (30 minutes to 60 minutes in length)]
Documentary
A fact-based program or series on any platform.
Drama Series or Special
Serialized or one-off drama programming, including limited series and soap operas.
Foreign Language Programming
Original non-English content with English subtitles, in any genre or format.
Lifestyle Programming
Includes content focused on home, design, health, fashion, beauty, travel, or culinary topics.
News/Informational
Informative or journalistic content [may be submitted in short form (under 10 minutes in length) or long form (over 10 minutes in length)]
Original Movie or Special
A single, standalone production of any genre, including made-for-streaming films or specials.
Reality Programming
Entertainment-focused reality content, including competition, lifestyle, and unscripted formats.
Sports Programming
Includes coverage, commentary, storytelling, or profiles within the world of sports and athletes.
Variety/Talk Show
Talk, variety, or panel-based programming hosted by individuals or ensembles.
